TOMO House—short for Together More—reimagines what sustainable urban living can look like. Developed as a private co-housing community, TOMO brings together architecture, design, and social innovation to create a unique space for connection and sustainability.
Located at the corner of Ontario Place and 41st Avenue, this 12-unit, Passive House project sits on what was once a single-family residential lot. The project challenged city norms by demonstrating that multi-unit, community-oriented housing could thrive within traditional neighbourhoods.
The project was led by MA+HG Architects in collaboration with Haebler Group, Happy City, and Prospect & Refuge. The architectural team earned a GRAY Award for Innovation for their work, underscoring TOMO’s groundbreaking approach to both building performance and community design.
At its core, TOMO House was designed to promote social connection and environmental responsibility. Shared spaces include a 1,000-square-foot amenities room with a full kitchen, communal gardens, shared electric bikes, and one shared electric car for all residents. With a strong focus on low-carbon living, the project invites residents to live intentionally—emphasizing interaction over isolation, and sustainability over excess.
EuroLine supplied Passive House–certified, tilt-and-turn window and door systems customized to meet the project’s performance and acoustic requirements. Given the building’s urban location near traffic, acoustic performance was essential.
With the Haebler Group undertaking its first Passive House build, EuroLine’s experience was instrumental in guiding the project through its technical complexities. Our team worked closely with the Haebler site superintendent, offering on-site support and sharing expertise to streamline installation and improve efficiency. From advising on air-sealing strategies to identifying ways to save on costly airtight tapes, EuroLine’s involvement helped the team stay both efficient and on budget.
The project represents a next-level approach to sustainable urban living. EuroLine is proud to be a part of projects that prioritize people and sustainability and that align with our goal of building better buildings.
